Nilza I. Oyola
Driven by a passion to transform lives, communities, and cities, Nilza Oyola, as the Executive Director of City to City Miami, spearheads and fosters gospel movements throughout the city, offering strategic vision and direction. She brings over eighteen years of experience in strategic business management, youth development, adult education, and family development.
Previously, Nilza served as Senior Vice President of the Education and Career Development Division at SoBRO, one of the largest community development organizations in the Bronx, NYC. Her contributions also include coauthoring the Case Management Certificate Program for Human Services Organizations at Hostos Community College, Bronx, NY. Leveraging her background in urban economic development, Nilza has devoted her career to empowering marginalized communities and families, with a particular emphasis on enabling women to share their experiences. As a Latina woman born and raised in Puerto Rico, Nilza intimately understands the challenges faced by women of color. This profound understanding inspired the creation of REINA (Spanish for “Queen”), an initiative founded on the 5Cs paradigm: Connect, Conceive, Care, Commit, and Carry. REINA aims to dismantle the cultural and institutional barriers that impede the personal, professional, and spiritual growth of women.
Nilza is also a licensed minister, motivational speaker, author, and the founder of several initiatives dedicated to serving underserved communities. She holds an MBA and remains actively involved in her community.
